"Have courage and do not fear the assaults of the Devil. Remember this forever; it is a healthy sign if the devil shouts and roars around your conscience, since this shows that he is not inside your will."

— St. Padre Pio

When I'm looking for wisdom or an understanding of how to deal with problems, I often turn to Padre Pio. His clarity was fearless and his faith unshakeable.

If he were alive today, I have no doubt his insights would be very popular hot takes on X.

But what made him truly remarkable was his vulnerability. That humility, that honest search for Christian love is one of the greatest gifts of our faith, and it's something many of us in these circles share.

Fides has lived that reality since day one. Speaker cancellations, no capital, minimal support and the list goes on. And yet it was precisely that vulnerability, and the genuine connection and truth we found in each other, that kept us going. You gave us the courage to keep building, and we don't take that lightly.

That courage matters because we all know what we are truly fighting for. Among us, in the conversations we've had many of them quite deep and thorough the truth is clear: there is good and there is evil, and the times we are living in make that more visible than ever.

Nowhere is that more apparent than in San Francisco. In preparing for next week's event, two people shared with me their personal experiences with the darkness inside the startup world there and just how small the Catholic founder community is, even as a quiet but real revival and return to the Church continues to grow.

Padre Pio's words have never felt more true. And that is exactly what we hope this event reflects: the depth of faith, and the difference it makes when we choose to do good where so much is working against it.

We are deeply grateful to Antonio Motta Founder of Bom Dia Bubbles and Silas Mähner Catholic Founders for their support in making this possible.

Whether you're a Catholic founder, investor, professional, or simply have a friend who might be interested we truly hope to see you there.

God bless, and looking forward to celebrating with you and to honoring St. Francis next week as many people forget that is direct translation of San Francisco!
