Fides Entrepreneurship: 3 Golden Takeaway's from Cristofer Pereyra

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night. You can find last nights photos here (Credits to Nick Tan)!

We would also like to personally thank Father Mike of Saint Anthony’s for his help in making last night possible!

Your presence truly made it a powerful evening.

Cristofer Pereyra shared a compelling vision presentation and vision for forming Catholic leaders for civil society men and women who bring faith, excellence, and courage into boardrooms, classrooms, newsrooms, and city halls.

Here are 3 golden takeaways from Cristofer’s presentation that we hope will stay with you:

1. Your Mission Is in the World

“It is our mission to insert ourselves into public society to sanctify the world around our own professional world.”

Cristofer grounded the call of the laity in Vatican II: our vocation isn’t to retreat, but to bring Christ into our fields wether that is business, media, education, government. Doing excellent work and shaping decisions where we serve is to ultimately lead the way.

2. Form Your Conscience and speak out

The Church gives us a set of principles that we can then discern and apply.

Formation isn’t only spiritual; it’s also professional. Become so capable and trustworthy that your organization cannot ignore your voice when they may force you to do something that goes against your values.

One of Cristofer‘s graduates for example was asked to sign a form in support of gender ideology at his company.

He spoke with the manager and said he would not sign it and what ended up happening was that he didn’t actually have to sign in because he was too valuable for the company they would not fire him or something because he was too valuable so being excellent with your faith and what you do ultimately gives you power to stand up for your values

Let your integrity and joy witness to Christ before you ever say a word!

3. Get a Spiritual Director & A Rule of Life

Everyone wants to have a coach, business coach, a personal coach, right? We have a coach for every area of our lives except the most important one. God. My father in the church is always sitting in the office. No charge.

Bonus Quote: Take Your Seat at the Table

Ultimately we need more faithful and committed, well-formed Catholic voices at every table where decisions are made.

From PTAs to corporate boards to public commissions, board service is a concrete way to shape culture for the common good.

Anthony’s story is one of resilience, faith, and mission as at just 14 years old, he survived a near-fatal accident that left him with severe orthopedic injuries a moment he calls the greatest gift God gave him. That suffering became the seed of his vocation: to dedicate his life to supporting doctors and inventors who relieve the suffering of others.

Our December Speaker is Rob Kaczmark, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Spirit Juice Studios, an Emmy Award-winning creative firm dedicated to spreading the Gospel through media.

Rob’s story is one of faith, creativity, and conviction. From his roots in youth ministry and BMX culture (punk rock, tattoos, ect) to building one of the most recognized Catholic media production company in the country, which has worked with Jonathan Roumie, Hallow, Bishop Baron and Mark Wahlberg.

During COVID, when churches were closed, Rob and his team livestreamed daily Masses from their in-office chapel, offering hope to thousands. His short films like The Veil Removed to launching a Catholic kids’ channel on YouTube continue to shape how Catholics experience and share their faith.

“A small little video, a livestream Mass or Divine Mercy hits the right person at the right time… Sometimes even just the appearance of someone on camera praying that looks a little different can bring someone in.”

Rob will share:

  • How his creative journey led to founding Spirit Juice Studios

  • Why incorporating a chapel into his office and offering mass there changed his company’s culture

  • How media can be used to plant seeds of faith in unexpected places
